Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 May 2026
This policy is a starting template only and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before you take real payments or onboard real users, get it reviewed against the Australian Privacy Principles and, if you have users overseas, against GDPR / equivalents.
Tunebooker is operated by Listiqa Pty Ltd (ACN 697 273 911, ABN 38 697 273 911), trading as Tunebooker. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It is written with reference to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, password (stored hashed), role (Artist or Booker), and the profile details you choose to provide (stage name, venue name, city, bio, hourly rate, avatar).
- Uploaded content — audio tracks, cover images, and short video clips you upload.
- Booking and message data — the bookings you create and messages you send through the platform.
- Payment information — when payments are enabled, payment details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card numbers ourselves.
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and basic interaction logs, used to keep the service running and secure.
- Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, your device's push subscription is stored so we can deliver alerts.
2. How we use it
- To run the marketplace — show profiles, accept bookings, deliver messages.
- To moderate content and respond to reports.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To send transactional notifications about your account and bookings.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the platform, and only the data they need:
- Supabase — database and file storage (data hosted in Sydney).
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Sightengine — automated moderation of uploaded images and videos.
- Stripe — payment processing (when enabled).
- Apple / Google / Mozilla push services — delivering notifications, if you enable them.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.
4. Overseas transfers
Some of the providers above are based outside Australia (for example, Sightengine in France and Stripe in the United States). When your data is processed overseas, it is protected by that provider's own privacy obligations and our contractual commitments with them.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember basic preferences, and run the service worker that powers the installable app. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. Uploaded media is deleted when you delete the track or close your account.
7. Your rights
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it if it's wrong.
- Ask us to delete it (subject to legal obligations to keep some records).
- Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time.
- Make a complaint to us, and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you're not satisfied.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, role-based access on the server, and a content moderation pipeline. No system is perfect — please use a strong, unique password and let us know promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
9. Children
Tunebooker is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a material way we will tell you in the app or by email.
11. Contact
